What I do
From childhood on, my passion has always been making unconventional things. Creating something that cannot be bought. Often something that makes life easier, more pleasant. I am lucky that I can use this passion also in my work at Philips Lighting Research.
Since I start following ceramic lessons at Atelier Paula Groote-Versteegen, I slowly moved to more artistic stuff.
I find it difficult to choose, so quite often I do not and start combining different disciplines like ceramics, sculpturing, forcing, and woodworking. So I also use a wide variety of ‘materials’: clay, porcelain, stone, glass, felt, but also electronics and LEDs.
I like making things different and making different things.
